Pretty much a hype video.

Don't get me wrong, I think what you've done here is pretty cool, but the fact is that it's pretty much all about hype. There were a lot of gifs and whatnot in here, and not a lot of true animation. Good music choice, it fit in very well, and nice sense of wording things; it added to the style. Well, there's not a whole lot more I can say in the matter of Star Trek. I've always leaned a bit more towards the Star Wars faction. Eh, all in all, it's pretty good, just needed a bit more original work. Nice job.

Koradan responds:

I admit, that's EXACTLY what it was; a hype video. I made it for a Klingon Club in Tacoma for the express purpose of recruiting for their club at conventions. This was what they wanted. I made it to their specs, and they liked it. My animation style is more of the style of Terry Gilliam of Monty Python, except I can't draw worth $#!+. Thanks anyway.

Not too bad, nice concept.

Wow, it hasn't even been that long since the CM series wrapped up and you're bustin newer things out already; nice. This is quite a different twist from other things on the portal right now, and it seems to look somewhat promising. The visuals were so-so, but I think there's always time to improve on that and it's really not that important to me when weighing a movie's quality. The sound choice was pretty damn nice, I liked the music when the Necromancer was telling the axe guy to leave the land. It had a touch of that sad-weighted-destiny to it, and that's always good. Provided it's not like that bitter-sweet feeling I got when I saw the last Cowboy Beebop, that shit made me sad for a week. ANYways, nice job, I hope to see more of this series in the future. Keep up the good work.

Yeah, there is only one music track in the movie, but it's so good I felt it could carry the whole movie.

I would love to give this a 10.

I'd love to give this a perfect score, but I can't. This is probably the best looking flash (not including the best pure-flash movies, of course) I've ever seen. The music was awesome and the character design and visuals were astounding. However, because this is a teaser, I'm not convinced that this series is ever going to hit NG. I just think it would be unfair to give this a perfect score based on total hype and visuals (as delicious as they were) when people have worked hard to dish out complete series' that don't get the same credit. I really hope you prove me wrong though, I would love to see this series; as many other people, no doubt. I hope to see a real episode sometime soon, keep up the great work.

i wont make a game series but I may make a movie series which i will end in a shit game of some sort

Ha ha, you funny bastard.

That was too damn funny. I loved how you had the color clocks in there, I really got a kick out of that. For some reason, even though the voices are totally cliche', I never get tired of the automated voices the clocks have got. Maybe it's their smartass attitudes, maybe it's their individual magic powers and whatnot, I'll never know, but it's damn good. King Henry was hilarious, I loved his ignorantly blunt attitude and foul mouth, props to Krack. With your hilarious visuals (most notably the clocks storming the castle) and Kracks' awesome voice acting, you guys really made something great here. Great job.

LeekClock responds:

Thanks dude - reviews like this are what makes it worth making animations ^__^

Much too big a file size for so little.

What was that? I'm sorry, but that certainly wasn't a preview or trailer of any sort. You gave the viewers absolutely nothing of any story or plot to go on, a horrible depiction of the characters that will be in here, and the music that you used for the credits was definitely what made this file so big. You should definitely compress some of your audio. The thing that really irked me was that the opening to this thing was the only part of this flash that had any animation. The rest of it was just text that asked me what I would do in a time of war. If we really wanted to split hairs, the opening wasn't even really animated, just guided symbols. Try and dive into more of what the Portal viewers would think was interesting. Try to get something exciting that they've never seen before or wouldn't expect. I was kind of hoping this was a depiction of Doom from ID software. Oh well. Work on getting that audio compressed, that's definitely important. Keep on practicing, there's always room for improvement.

Excellence.

Amazing, that was an extremely stylish flash movie. First off, your visuals were done with an awesome sense of style, and I thoroughly enjoyed them throughout the whole movie. The only problem I had with them was that it was a bit hard to tell what was going on at times, but this barely scratched the overall effect of the movie. The music choice was, hands down, an excellent choice for this movie; it set the mood for the movie that much more. The style in the fight scenes was great. Not only did you show that the Samurai was a worthy fighter, but he took damage on several occasions, which proved that his enemy was just as determined a fighter. This is a great example of holding out of sumbissions until your flash skills improve. Authors like you are what keep driving me not to abandon my Rockman project. Great job, keep up the excellent work.

Ha ha, pretty humorous.

Hey, not to bad at all. Sprite movies don't generally impress me, but this one was done quite nicely. I liked how you laid down your plot and did so with that nice FFX music. It did seem kind of weird that they were going into the future to find a hero (if everything was ok in the future, doesn't that mean everything turned out ok in the past?). I thought it was pretty funny how Link pretty much kicked ass through the whole movie, especially when he went up against Leon, errr, I mean Zack. Nice humor, good idea using Magus and Mog as comedy relief. I'll be keeping an eye out for the next one. Good job, keep up the good work.

True, can't really call this your own.

Ok, I know, I know, this is a tribute to Strongbad, but the problem is that nothing really new was added into this to make it somewhat authentic. It was basically the Japanese Cartoon and Techno Music SB-emial mixed together. It was actually Stinkoman instead of "Strongbad" as well. Oh well, I thought your visuals were pretty good and the music is always funny to hear. But the one thing this lacked was some sort of trademark from you and I think that's what really hurts it. At least your spreading the knowledge about H*R, I'm surprised at how many people don't know about that site. So for what it's worth, good message.

TheShrike responds:

Again, Stinkoman is a mere spinoff. Without Strong Bad, there is no stinkoman. He originally appeared in Strong Bad's e-mail, and the is one 30 second short that involves him outside of that. And that one is a parody of a Homestar short.

As far as personal trademarks go.... you must not have seen or clicked on 'Animated by TheShrike', which floats up at the top of the screen for half of the movie.

HA ha, nice catch.

Pretty funny. I really liked your visuals and your intro to this. The changing of hair styles and Z fighters standing in the back doing nothing was hilarious. The only problem I had with this was the audio. You almost seem to be trying to keep your voice down and it kind of hurts the performance. Oh well. All in all, it's a pretty funny parody; nice work.
