Alright, but nothing amazing.

It was ok, but Sound Boards never were really a genre of flash that went very far in the "wow" area. However, the clip choice was nicely cosen. The "Peace" and "Naive" clips are two of my favorite moments in The Godfather movie. It had it's style. If there were maybe some more, maybe a few short ones, I would have voted a bit higher.

A rock game...this can't be fun, right? Wrong!

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much out of this game. Thoughts of "whoo hoo, I get to collect rocks" came to mind. After about 15 secounds is was "Hell yeah bizatches, I'm collecting rocks." you get the picture. The visuals are done nicely. I like the way your ships came out, especially the last one. The audio is really cool, the sounds that are used for ship explosions came off really cool. The interactivity is sleek and smooth in this game. If I died at any time, it was my fault. The controls were very responsive and the collision detection was great. I can't say I encoutered a bug in this at all. Very well done, I got a kick out of this game.

Delicious-ness.

That was one hell of a nice game. The visuals kicked major ass because they had that cool personal comic touch to them. Did you draw them yourself and paint them in photoshop? Everything looked really cool. The audio was awesome, near-flawless for this type of game. I had no troubles with the controls which performed smoothly. There's lots of style in this, I really liked those powerups; very classic. An awesome game, great job to you and The Rift for making such a great game.

Not bad, it has it's fun.

That was pretty cool. Brings me back to those old days of Virtual Cop and stuff. The visuals (walls) were really cool looking. It gave a really good effect in moving around and creeping around corners. The guy jumping across the screen looked cool. The audio was a bit on the bland side. It was good that there wasn't an excessive amount of audio, which kept the filesize down, but the audio just got kind of repetetive. In terms of style, the game had a nice concept, but didn't really pack anything amazing in it. Something like a big bad boss or a helicopter or something would be great for a future installment. Creative scenery chagnes would be cool too, like climping up a ladder and jumping from rooftop to rooftop. Just some suggestions. What you have here, especially for the fist one, is pretty damn cool. I see lots of potential in it.

Best review so far :D Thanks a lot.

You, my friend, just blew my mind.

It's not very often I sorely wish I could give a movie something better than a perfect score. What you've made here is, without a doubt, the best artwork I've seen in a flash movie....ever. I understand you made them in photoshop but that's irrelevant. This packs, HANDS DOWN, the best visuals I've ever seen on the portal, the previous being things like Rockman Neo, the Void II, Qi, Till Death do us Part, & Tales of Nosu. This is in a league all it's own, I appreciate and noted every bit of detail you put into this game, right down to the little white rectangles representing text on the main characters first incomming message. The audio was great, it fit the movie entirely. Perfect music. I don't know how you did it, but you even made walking around fun; I got a kick out of his bouncy and shruggy walk. I'm going to summarize style, because I could go on forever. I'm a big fan of the old Space Quest, Kings quest games, and this more than does justice to them. The assasination attempt in the office, the shootout at the ship, my God man, this game all around rocks. And it has a plot!!! This is amazing, I applaud this geniune, unique piece of work. Excellent job.

Challenging and fun.

Man, did that conquest take me awhile, yeesh. The visuals were pretty cool, I liked how the tanks and artillery looked. I must say I've never heard of the english version of the Soviet Anthem either. The audio was done really well, I liked the radar (which also happened to be my fav weapon). There's lots of style in the game, especially in the whole air dropping nuclear waste barrels. Though I never could get a damn nuke off the ground (damn shitty Soviet technology) I liked the concept that they were in there. Though I don't agree with any of this politically, who cares, it's a great game, lol. No doubt you've gotten, or will get some, outlashing for it, but screw it, it's a fun game. Communism was always funny to me anyways. Keep up the good work.

Russian-dogg responds:

yeah the Nuke is tricky...

you have to give yourself extra moves by using the radar or the SAM system...

cause you will never get the rocket up if you keep pressing the Nuke button all the way till the enemy kills you.

Nice, but the bare minimums.

It was a pretty decent dress-up game. I liked all the different outfits you drew out. Lots of other dress-ups really lack in the fassion department. Your visuals were drawn pretty nice, but with only one pose and no backgrounds, it kind of took away from some of the adventurous fun other dress-ups have. Also, without any background music, it made things kind of bland. Usually there's some sort of techno music or some sort of catchy beat in the background. In the sense of style, I liked certain outfits like that Supergirl one, I thought that was pretty cool. However, I know it's cliche' to the point where it's trashy, but no nudity in a dressup game is kind of taking away one of the basic points of a dressup game. You don't have to make it applicable to everyone, easter eggs to unlock it are usually the best way to go because it adds to your interactivity and style points; in some cases humor. All in all, it was a decent dressup game with good costumes, but with no audio, different BGs, or positions, it's kind of basic.

Death! Death! Death!!! Mwa ha ha ha ha.

I haven't seen such a cool stick related flash since Jason Notos work and that one movie "The Pan". It's cool to see classics that can uphold that same sense of twisted humor they were made with so long ago. Visuals were pretty nice, especially in that matrix scene, and your audio was delicious. There's lots of twisted humor to found in this and it's done with plenty of style; a rarity among stick flashes. Great job on this, and may the guy who stole your first movie burn in hell with a thousand evils and then be made fun of.

One of the best games I've played.

I've reviewed lots of games, and this one is by far one of the best. It's not just the concept (I'm familiar with Sumurai Kirby anyways) it's the delicate drawings and backgrounds. You made the tension building up to the strike so damn stressful; that's awesome. I loved your visuals and the sfx and music was great. The challenge factor on this game was really something, I couldn't put it away until I whooped that last boss' ass on godlike, which wasn't an easy task. All in all, your special touch of creativity to this was awesome, excellent game and excellent job.

thanks a lot.
i appreciate good reviews.

Agh, I sooo want to give this a perfect score.

Man, it hurts to give this game an 8, it really does. But there are some issues in this game that sorely bring down it's awesome points. One is the lag. I have a decent machine (1.6 GHz processor) and man oh man did this game lag. I even put everything on low just to let up and get some fast action gameplay in there, but to no avail. Things felt like they were moving so slow, the game lost it's essence of being fast-paced and felt like I was dragging a 20 lb weight across the screen with my pinky. Another issue that came up that almost drove me to insanity was the sound. I'm not sure if this just happened to me, but everytime someone tried to speak in the game, it would skip like a raped CD, I would never have been able to know what was going on if not for the text; it really hurt the flow. I just wanted to get the bad stuff out of the way before I really got into how good the game's qualities are. Your visuals are just awesome. Tons of detail can be found in this game and I'm very impressed by it. The SFX are great as well, I love what happens when you use the gun that charges up all the way to fire; that is just too cool. Awesome explosions and amazing story line; this game really does seem to have it all. The only thing I would suggest is finding a way around lag and definitely cranking up the rate of fire, it was very very slow. I would mind if the enemies were 5 times tougher, I think it would be great for the fast-paced action you're going for. Sorry if I sound nit picky, it's just those few things that really brought down what I think is probably one of the most amazingly potential original games I've ever seen. And you said yourself this was just a version, so that leaves plenty of room to fix errors anyways, right? You're off to an awesome start with this game, every aspect of it has me intrigued; hope you can get it to be more fast paced, keep up the amazing work.

Thanks for the comments. I don't mind the nit-picking; I take it as constructive crit. There's too much to respond to, but I took in everything you said. Thanks for the input, for sure.
