DJ Bass?? Ha ha ha, that's awesome!

I've come across this movie several times but everytime I try to watch it, something always happens and I never get a chance to! Well today's the day, and I have to say that the wait was well worth it. Your use of backgrounds and music is amazing. Anyone can slap together a sprite movie, but it takes just the right dash of creativity to make them really well. You took these backgrounds and character sprites and totally made another world; that's awesome. Sprite work and expression was done really well, I love the way Bass changed CD's, ha ha ha. Genuince sense of story plot too, it take something simple and makes it a simple, but creative, story to follow. Keep up the great work.

Amazing artwork.

Phew, now THAT's delicious. Your visuals are breathtaking, I'm going to definitely study how you used certain background movements, they were great. The music choice was excellent, I can see that the character's lines were spoken differently at different points during the music and it came out greatly. The only problem I have with the movie is that it's based around hype. It doesn't basically center around any specific point in the story; it's more like an overview. Or basically, a trailer or preview. I LOVE stuff like this, but I just think it would be unfair to rate it like a full movie when people work on full story parts of their movies (that was a mouthful.) Aside from that, I absolutely love this. The ending picture was very symbolic and creative. Keep up the excellent work.

Shut up, Bill!

Oooooooooooooooooh, I like, I like. The opening to this is very cool. You do a great job of laying down the foundation for characters in this episode. I'm not familiar with Nameless and his sister, not to mention his dark master. Too many a time has it been when there have been good flash movies like this, but lay no path for character development. In contrast, I'm now wondering what kind of dark spell Nameless recieved, what sinister plot does his master hold for him, who's the only one who's beaten nameless, and....who's Bill? (I loved that part, ha ha ha). Excellent visuals and great choice of music, this could turn out to be a really great series. I strongly hope that you'll continue work on it; excellent job.

MushiX responds:

You ask a lot of good questions... ALL of which will be answered by the end of the series. You will understand who and what every character is, what's going on in the shadows, and why Nameless is what he is. When planning the story, I left no stone unturned, no secret unanswered. Episode 1 is just a peek at a fairly complex story... complex because it takes place in 9 short episodes, and still has a story that fully-develops itself.

Damn, I was hoping for UC, yet again.

Welllllll, I was really hoping for this to be an original Gundam series, but oh well. I liked your gundam adaption visuals to flash a lot. The scene were Wing is diving towards the ground against Anti-aircraft fire is pretty sweet. However, having nice graphics against sticks just kind of makes things awkard. I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that the audio was so awkward. Take for example that one stick figure movie (rivalry, or something like that) where the characters are stick figures, but speach and sfx make a WHOLE lot of difference. I'd suggest getting some more dramatic or symphonic music for Gundam Wing; the selection this time just wasn't fitting. As for Style, it didn't really seem like much of a preview as it did a first episode. I have no idea who the main character is, if it's Heero, why's he attacking some random building, and why does Heavy Arms have Kermit The Fart under him??? Lot's of unanswered questions and no real forshadowing of plot take a lot of edge off the movie. That's not to say there's no room to make this better; I actually beg you to. There's a lack of quality Gundam movies on NG, and you could just be the one to fix that. In any case, it was a decent movie and I wish you luck on future Gundam projects should you decide to continue persuing them.

Twisted.

Wow, that was pretty...different. The message being conveyed here (at least to me) is pretty damn deep. I liked your visuals a lot, they had a uniquiqeness to them. There wasn't a whole lot to be admired in the audio department, but the audio did it's job, nothing more, nothing less. The humor was pretty dark, but I got a few guilty laughs out of it. Very cool style and message, I admire artists who are able to come out on a limb and make something creative like this. Keep up the good work.

Virgilcomic responds:

Thanks. Glad you liked its twistedness.

1Dil can suck my balls.

Unbelievable that 1Dil was such a little bitch that he had to vote a 0's because he doesn't agree with a damn game series. Anyways, you did very well, but this didn't seem to have the same kind of impact the 1st one did. Probably becaues there was less fighting in it. I like the cutscenes to the server screen, that's cool. SFX and music are all very good. Nice style, I like where the story is headed. Keep up the good work.

Sweeet.

That was pretty kick ass. I loved the batlle scenes and plot development. Good audio, it's pretty well rounded...I mean, what more could you use? I loved your style of Assimilation, ha ha. Very cool. I'm gonna check out the second one ASAP, keep up the excellent work.

Off to a good start.

Granted it's not the most original, it seems like you've got a pretty interesting plot going on here. Your visuals are going to need some work, but take comfort in knwoing that many a good flash is measured by it's quality, not visuals. Hell, take a loot at (no disrespect to him, I thoroughly enjoy his work, actually) the NG Artist Mark McPherson's work. He's constantly belittled because of his visuals, but he still brings home the hardware on those Daily Feature awards. Your audio was good too, but try to put more emphasis on your voice acting. I know, it's a bitch, I've done it many times, and you will look weird doing it, but it makes for one hell of a dramatic effect if done properly. And lastly, I really do like the style direction of this movie. I hope you can pull it of, it looks to be really interesting. Oh yeah, one more thing. Try craking up the FPS on your movie, the animation was a bit jotty. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask in the NewGrounds Forums. There's a section that specializes in helping out in areas just like this. Keep on practicing flash, you can only get better in time.

Yeah, you have to die now.

Right....you must die. It's come to my conclusion that a flash movie so delicious in original plot and visuals will soon end up taking over the flash community world and devastate all. It's for the good of everyone of you are destroyed.... Bah, now for a release from all the complementive mumbo jumbo, your visuals really were awesome; that scene with the sparks flying off the Tower was amazing. The audio was excellent, perfectly chosen at the right parts. Amazing ending. I strongly encourage you to keep it up and continue the series, it's amazing what you've done here. Keep up the Excellent work, honestly, you've made one hell of a movie here.

Fr0st-yo responds:

lol, tnx very much.

Ooooo, belly dancer, ha ha ha.

This episode seems like a real plot filler, and it's done very well. It explains a lot for those who haven't seen the Prolouge, and for those who have, it gives it a more in depth explanation of events. Visuals are getting better, I see you've gotten some help in that department; it really helps. Your audio is really nice, I really liked the flute hymn when that one guy with the green mask came out. The only thing I didn't understand **Spoiler** was who died at the end? I saw the skull, but was it the King or the guy with the green mask? Oh well, in any case, nicely executed. Looking forward to the battle in the next episode. Keep up the good work.

mmark-oldflash responds:

For the spoiler, that's that cliffhanger.
