Was it really neccessary to not compress the audio

Well...that was kind of pointless. The concept was somewhat amusing, but is kind of paled because of the file size, which the audio is most accountable for. I'm glad it was at least clipped, but it could have been compressed a bit more. Besided that, it was just kind of bland and didn't really go anywhere. I liked the picture of clock kong, though.

HersheyClockolet responds:

Clock_Kong is love! I will compress my chocolate from now on, for you!

Amazing work.

Wow, so THAT's how DBZ would look in flash. Your visuals were awesome. One might even suspect you of tracing, ha ha. But no, tracing or not, your visuals were awesome, right down to the very element that visually makes DBZ what it is. Audio choice was perfect, especially getting that Japenese version in too; that should keep the hardcore fans happy. I gave you a high score on style for replicating this so well. It's not everyday someone recreates something like this almost down to the very detail. I've seen tons and tons of DBZ but to this day, this episode remains at the top of my all time favorites, so I really apprecate the work you put into this. Great job.

Barry-the-SuperScot responds:

THanks! I'm glad you like this so much! ^_^

Not much too it...

Sorry, but the graphics were so slapped together and random, I didn't know what the heck was going on. The audio was great, but you didn't give credit to Homestarrunner.com at all for it. It really made the the cartoon funny, but to the point where it was carrying it; and that's never good. Style was alose kind of affected by the randomness of the movie. It just seemed too bland mixed with the high quality of the Stongbad song.

Normally don't vote high on previews...but....

It's kind of a shaky rule with me that I don't vote high on previews, but this is just so cool, it not only acts like a cool opening, it's pretty self-worked in and of itself. The character design was a little iffy to me at first, but it really grew on me as soon as I saw the way you moved them; very cool. Your music choice totally rocks. I love it, it somehow fits the opening (at least to me) like a glove. And a lot of that has to do with your great sense of style in putting that opening together. Very Cowboy Beebop/Inuyasha. Just watch out for reviewers like RancidPsychoJosh who would just love to thrash this for even having a trace of anime in it. But who cares, with such a nice output of style and creativity, you really did a great job with this. Excellent work, can't wait for finished stuff to roll in.

I honestly didn't think I'd get a kick out of this

..but I was definitely wrong. I saw one of the other Resident Koopa episodes and really wasn't all thaaat "awed", even though I still got a kick out of it's style. However, with this one, I could really relate, since I do my fair share of online gaming and was totally amused by how accurate you got the sitation down. The visuals were great, as expected from the RK series (I really do like the style) and your audio was great. But you really come with the style here, I love how you put the "lag" issue into place; great stuff. This movie tripped me out, too. At the end when Bowser was coming up, I honestly did get disconnected from the internet, and the concept of this movie had me literaly going, Wtf???? How's that possible, it was just a movie!!?? God has a sense of humor. Anyways, great job, keep up the great work on the RK series.

Oh man, that was bad.

I'm sorry, but that was bad. I mean, I'm not one to hate Weird Al, but damn, the visuals on this were done so poor, it took away from the overall feeling. Basically, I was staring at a black screen with a white stick figure doing 3 frame movements. I don't hold visuals high in rating movies, but as I said, these were done so slapped together it took away from the overall factor of the movie. Style was also affected by poor visuals as well as humor. The only thing that carries this flash is Weird Al's music. It just seems like you didn't put enough effort into this. Better luck next time.

My hat goes off to you.

Wow, now that was some great worksmanship. Your visuals were great, I mean, those car chase scenes were pretty bitchin'; what more could I ask for? I definitely don't judge a movie based on it's visuals, which is to say your audio choice and style were great. Your SFX were cleverly placed throughout the entire movie, I appreciated the thought from the cool gunshots all the way down to the sound of the car door closing; very cool. Impact in this movie is pretty damn high as well, I'm glad it didn't end too abruptly or too soon. It gave me just enough to go on and still leaves me craving for the next one. Nice ending. Congradulations on a classic flash movie, excellent work.

Jeez, give 'im a break.

This is going to be a more different kind of review, because I'm going to take a little of both sides for and against you. Against you, you've gotta cut the guy some slack, he DOES make his own movies and put the time in to do so. Movies like these are usually reserved for asshole reviewers who vote low on movies, regardless of quality, based on some stupid pet-peeve they have *cough, rancidpsychojosh, cough*. On the flip side, I totally understand why you did it. I mean, I've read Synj's review, so I know what you're tlaking about, and yeah it does piss me off that the NY series has had episodes that rank/ed higher than Tales of Nosu or Qi. Especially Almost Serious Suicide, I mean wtf, that episode wasn't even funny. So after summing this up, I AM a kind of irritated to see someone else's work slammed, but someone had to address the situation of that series getting scores much higer than it deserved. So basically, thanks for carrying out the neccessary evil. Oh yeah, funny ass ending. Nice job.

Horrible delivery.

It's stuff like this that really irks me. I don't mind things like this getting SUBMITTED, but come on, people voting 10 on this is total crap. This has absolutely no humor in this whatseover and there's only one background and some stupid chick. It almost feels like you delibrately put this on NG to see how high of a score you could get by submitting something completely worthless, but have some mild-nudity in it.

iqueloque responds:

i feel your pain, but you must understand that whats not funny for you, may be funny to others. I know that this movie doesn't deserv a 10, but it also doesn't deserv a 1. The audio was made by my friend, she work really hard for it.

Ummm....didn't do it for me.

Well, the graphics were pretty slapped together. There wasn't much audio either, so it left your movie feeling kind of bland. The concept of someone attacking Heaven is kind of lame. Concepts like these just end up pissing people off; which is generally ok on NG, except the range this kind of stuff effects is too large. One thing I did like about this move was the length. I thing new authors that actually make a decently lengthy movie have some potential (provided the movie is actually somewhat exciting.) Well, THIS movie didn't do it for me, but who knows, better authors have started out making worse movies. Keep on practicing.
